If there's a place where I want to go on a holiday now ( It used to be rainforests or the Phi Phi islands)... its Milford Track, NZ.

I had seen a feature on the track on Discovery T&L last month and it's supposed to be the best trek in the world! These pictures that I gleaned off the web prove that so right.. Wow!

Saw a cricket match going on at Parade Grounds on my way back home yesterday, and I was so tempted to get off the flyover and play spectator...I miss being a kid and the crazy stuff we did in the colony.. The scars on my knees are a testament to those fun days of berry picking, kite flying (including making the glass-laced manja!), hunting mangoes with our slingshots, endless cricket and skating sessions, hide 'n' seek during power cuts, 'pittu', hopscotch and racing each other on our bicycles.. and of course regular tetanus shots.Yup! I was pretty much a tomboy till I turned into a docile teen. Wish I never grew up.

Don't envy the kids of today though. What with endless tuitions, entrance exams, structured tennis/music lessons and no room to play in these concrete city jungles, their childhood is lost before it begins.. Wish everyone would just give the kids a break!

So nice..I'm having a " spa weekend" at home ..
...In other words, smearing your face with stuff that one shud've been eating instead, dunking the piggies in a lavender soak, a hot oil 'n' banana mane masque, and a ginger lemon scrub to end it with...I do look like a crazy native in the interim.. sincerely hope to look better in the end :)

Mmmmmm...If it wasn't for the riveting rivalry betn Rafa and Roger at today's Aussie Open ..I would have dozed off ...These guys are running neck- to-neck and its so hard deciding whom to support..I've decided on cheering Federer this time ( to truly enjoy any match, I believe one should pick a side to cheer).. and I'm biting my nails off already..Rafa leads 6-5 in the second set...and M on the edge of my seat.. oh boy!

P.S: How can people watch Golf on TV? Re-phrase that: Why do they watch Golf on TV or even Chess for that matter? Even if you play these games, it seems so boring to watch them passively.
